New Alumni Leadership

Nancy Bird is Gannon University's new director of alumni services. She succeeds Cathy Fresch, who is now the University's director of development. A 1988 graduate of Penn State University, Bird is no stranger to development and alumni work. She is the former director of constituent relations for Cathedral Preparatory School and Villa Maria Academy, both Erie high schools.

Bird says, "Gannon and Villa Maria College alumni prove to be loyal ambassadors and generous supporters of the University. I am fortunate to be a part of this energy."

Bird is a 1984 graduate of Villa Maria Academy and is excited about the challenges of alumni services at the collegiate level. "Gannon's current leadership is focused on innovation, community service and globalization, offering our students the very best tools to become successful leaders. Our programs and facilities are always changing to meet those goals. The dynamic nature of Gannon's campus makes this a terrific time to share the excitement with our alumni."
