When Robert Wallace, Ph.D. was introduced at April's Celebration of Faculty Scholarship, he was thanked for 45 years at Gannon.
"Counting my undergraduate years and MBA here, it's really more like 55 years," the retiring finance professor corrected.
Wallace was among the six faculty members who were honored for their retirement at the event in the Yehl Room.
Charles Bennett, assistant professor of economics; Robert Brooker, Ph.D., professor of economics; Michael Bucholtz, Ph.D. and Carl Hultman, Ph.D., both professors of chemistry; and Edward Rogers, associate professor of mathematics, all together represented 244 years of teaching, service and lives inspired.
Some offered humorous summaries of their future plans (as if to underline the point, Bennett was joined by two of his young grandchildren), but all spoke movingly about their time at Gannon, a time well spent and fondly remembered.
